Materials for my Quilt

I cant believe that my bat mitzvah is only a year away! Time has flown quickly. Today I'm getting materials for my quilt. I will also choose a pattern for my quilt. If you have any recommendations for patterns please tell me. Start making those quilts!!!

  5. This is a wonderful project for you to do. There will be many happy memories making quilts. If this is your first quilt, I would recommend something easy like a Disappearing Nine Patch.

  9. Squares are a great place to start for your first quilt! maybe you could use some novelty fabrics as a kind of I-spy quilt!

  10. I agree with some of the other posters -- if it's your first quilt, stick wit something simple liek squares. I wish I had thought to ask for advice when I made my first quilt many years ago. I tackled a "fan" quilt that involved curves and applique. Egads!

  13. Good luck! I wish I would have attempted to make a quilt when I was younger. It wasn't as difficult as I thought (simple pattern) and the results were great!
